To prepare in a bit more detail in the pre production setting to fully make sure everything is ready and we don't waste any of our production time, this is a crucial aspect because it helps to keep all the other production stages in order and lastly, we could have improved a little bit more on props to make the sequence look even more real and to add a sense of realism to the film.
I believe my group was very good at problem solving as we came across a few different problems that could have jeopardise the groups progress. Such as when we forgot the shovel in the woods and had to purchase a new one.
Strengths and weaknesses of pre production after
Our group had strengths in our shooting schedule - this was very detailed and was clear to understand, everyone knew the dates and times for the shoots and the length of time it would possibly take. It also included how many shots would be needed so the group would have a clear idea of when we would finish filming as well.
Our storyboard was well structured and detailed. This made it easier for the director of the team to follow, it was 5 pages long so we could detail each shot the way we wanted to. Every though sometimes we added new spontaneous shots to the sequence.
Recce's - Because our group was one of the smallest, with 3 members we each took a location recce to make it easier and to find the best location. We suitable chose the church because of the natural lighting, it gave the shots more of a mysterious feel because of the natural darkness.
Each actor didn't really come from an acting background so they each read the script thoroughly to get the grips with the plot and storyline. I believe both actors we used we're easy to work with as they both followed instructions easily so we could get things wrapped up quicker.
Crew roles - During the early stages of our short film we were all confused of which roles we were all taking even though our group on has 3 members, but short after we realised that we need to step our game up, work as a team and pull our weight to decide who was doing what.
Director - Kenny
Producer - Ashley
Camera operator - James
Everyone in the team brought there own individual style to the table whether it was with camera operating, directing or storyboarding. We all met the deadlines we set for each other so we had enough time to get all the filming we needed to get done completed.
All the equipment we used was checked whilst we booked it, each day we would make sure the camera was fully charged before used it. Everything was booked in advance so there was no hassle when we in the actual production stage. Therefore, the team had no problems with equipment.
The call sheets were done to a good standard and were correct. Everyone knew how to contact each other if there was any problems in either stage of production. It allowed us to know when a group member wasn't going to be able to make the filming stage or if they were going to be running late. The call sheets also helped us to keep everything in check amongst the team e.g. when to shoot and when certain things will need to get done.
Conclusion
Overall, I feel like our management of the production process was well. I feel like we worked well as a team and that we done everything good but with some minors flaws that could have been avoided or worked through. To improve on this next time we will need to make sure that things such as the call sheet and storyboard are correctly followed, to ensure a smooth flow whilst filming. Also better time keeping will need to be considered even though it wasn't that bad this time around as we understand time keeping is a key factor in the media industry.

D: You have applied your pre-production planning to the short film production to a standard that approaches professional practice, being capable of using your own initiative, without the need for constant support or supervision, giving the work your full commitment, working positively and cooperatively with each other to meet the deadline.
