Typography
Typography is a key factor because it is sometimes what makes the ident identifiable to the viewer. It can also add a lot more meaning behind the ident.
Typography is just as important as other key factors in idents solely due to the fact that it is often more illustratively orientated and can also contain a deeper meaning towards the ident as well as represent it. Typography contains the shading, style, textual style and size
A case of this is BBC three, the motivation behind why "three" is in lower case is on the grounds that it is alluding to the intended interest group. BBC three target group of this is 16-35 years of age hence the lower case three is which is indicating that the channel is of a more youthful orientated nature.
Aspect Ratio
Aspect ratio is the width and stature of the ident. The standard ratio now is 16:9 that is the average ratio in which most modern day TV's use especially for HD requirements.
Before this ratio size 4:3 was used, this was suitable for the type of of televisions back then which were often in the shape of a square. This mean the audiences view of the actual program would have been minimised. The ratio 16:9 ratio allows the audience to see the ident or screen to their maximum peripheral which is more realist to look at and will make the audience feel more inclined to watch, also allowing high definition television to be put in use
Resolution
Resolution is what makes the visualisation of the idents become more engaging to the audience, it is also what makes it more creative and show every detail in a way that will be relatable to the audience.
A particular reason why it may be a limitation would be because the fact that it could be time consuming and stray away the audience fro certain aspects.
Size
Size is one of the most important key aspects, this because it can give the audience an idea of what is more important and what is less important in the ident. For example the text being quite larger could imply the fact that the channel is either dominant and has a strong message to put across or that the channel is fun and the over sized objects/text could make it seem less serious to the consumer.
